Nearly 696 million people globally still lack safe water at home. In rural Zambia and Mozambique, almost half the population has only limited access to safe water, contributing to waterborne diseases, poor sanitation, reduced educational opportunities and lower quality of life.

Village Water delivers long-term solutions including solar water systems, menstrual health support, latrines and boreholes in communities, schools and health centres. Alongside climate-resilient farming, training and livelihood projects, the organisation addresses overlooked needs and creates lasting change.

Their work extends beyond infrastructure, transforming how services are delivered and how communities are supported to ensure everyone has access to water, sanitation and hygiene. Over the past 22 years, Village Water and its partners have improved the lives of more than two million people across Zambia and Mozambique through integrated WASH programmes.
