We're raised a total of £9,556.05 for Mary's Meals this year, sponsoring four of their schools and feeding 1,629 children a meal every day. Mary’s Meals work in the world’s poorest communities to provide a meal in a place of education, attracting children to the classroom and providing an escape route from poverty. With food in their bellies these children have the energy and opportunity to learn, giving them the chance of a brighter future. Our school feeding programmes are owned and run by the community and overseen by committees made up of parents, teachers and volunteers. Wherever possible, children receive locally produced food in order to support the local community as well as 1the wider economy. Since our sponsorship started all four schools have had a rise in enrolment, attendance and academic performance.
