Our March grant will fund a food garden for the 90 kids aged 3-8 who attend the Nakawa Community Pre-School in Zambia. Our newest charity partner, Play it Forward, are dedicated to reaching the 40% of Zambian children over 5 who suffer from chronic malnutrition. They work with youngsters in rural communities which are often overlooked by government services, giving them a better start in life and hugely improving their opportunities as they enter adulthood.

A 50m x 50m plot has been prepared for planting and we’ll be funding all the locally sourced resources needed to help it produce enough to feed every student their school lunch for 18 months. Any excess veg will be sold with funds reinvested. Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture will monitor the project and will help train up the teachers and parents who will take charge on the ground.
