Helping to end the water crisis in Tigray, Ethiopia

Our June pot will fund a drinking water project for one of the poorest remote communities of Ethiopia with our newest partner; charity: water.
In the past ten years charity: water have brought clean water to over six million people and with it improvements in nutrition, gender equality, education and economy. Their mission is to end the water crisis through simple measures like building freshwater wells, rainwater catchments and sand filters. Their vision is to reinvent charity through genuine transparency and an unshakable 100% model.
We'll be working together on a water project in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, a country where more than 42 million people lack access to safe water.
Our aim is to fund a drilled well which will supply a remote community of 200 people with water for many, many years to come. Every £45 we raise will provide one person with a lifetime of clean, safe water and it's many benefits.
We'll dedicate another month of fundraising to this project later in the year, and then report back regularly as we receive updates from the field. Once the project is complete and the local community trained, we'll be able to share the exact GPS coordinates and photos of the people who's lives will have been transformed.
