Charity Partner

Be One is proud to partner with To Live in H.O.P.E, a UK-based charity dedicated to improving education, health and economic opportunity in Ghana. With community at their heart, they work alongside families and educators to empower children, with a particular focus on supporting girls’ education and opportunity.

In the Kumasi communities of Twedie, Foase, Yabi and Boko, there are 15 schools. Yet none currently have ICT facilities. Despite computing being part of the national curriculum, limited infrastructure means the 4,900 students of these schools are at risk of being left behind in an increasingly digital world.

This project will equip a new community library with a fully functioning IT suite, providing computers, internet access and learning resources to support students across all 15 schools. Sustainability is built in through community ownership and a small kiosk generating funds for maintenance, ensuring the suite continues supporting future generations.

Thanks to collective giving, this project will give 4,913 students access to digital learning every week, while also opening doors for over 26,000 wider community members to access education, skills training and employment resources.

To Live in Hope is a UK-based charity dedicated to improving lives in Ghana. Their mission focuses on enhancing children's education, providing essential resources like water and sanitation, and training parents in economic activities to boost their income. This approach aims for long-term financial sustainability, better health, and a brighter future for both children and the community. They employ a participatory approach, working closely with communities to identify and solve problems together. This method ensures the sustainability, as communities are empowered to maintain and enhance the projects with the right support.
