Building Bright Futures for 100 Displaced People in West Papua

Charity Partner
In February, your generosity supported Papua Partners, helping 100 displaced individuals in West Papua rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
West Papua has seen decades of conflict, leaving thousands displaced and struggling to survive. Through training and microbusiness investments, you’ve given these individuals the tools to start sustainable businesses that provide stable incomes for their families.
But your impact doesn’t stop there. By empowering communities to create environmentally friendly businesses and advocate for conservation, you’re protecting vital lands and sacred traditions.
Together, we’re not just rebuilding lives - we’re creating sustainable futures reaching 6510 people in total. Thank you for making this possible!
Papua Partners works to strengthen the capacity of local, indigenous-led organisations in West Papua (Indonesian New Guinea) to promote peacebuilding, eradicate poverty, and protect vital and sacred lands. Established in 2006, the charity has decades of experience supporting communities that have faced conflict, discrimination, violence, and poverty. In recent years, Papua Partners has undergone a significant transformation in its organisational structure, transferring greater power and management responsibility to West Papua. This shift reflects the organisation’s commitment to aligning its actions with its ambition to become genuinely locally-led.
