Our February fundraising will feed 778 school children every day through Mary's Meals. The promise of a daily meal gives these kids the chance to gain an all-important eduction without the distraction of hunger. Faced by escalating food insecurity, together we have already made a marked contribution to averting a hunger and learning catastrophe for children like Jellings, who is enrolled in Kalopa Primary School, one of 3 schools we sponsor. Jellings said: “I depend on phala [porridge] for my body, my classwork, and my life to move on. Phala helps me to make informed decisions in my life.” Overall Mary's Meals feeds 2 million children every school day, so there are plenty more children, like Jellings, whose future is now looking a lot brighter.
