For many children at Chitakale Primary School, this meal will be waiting for them every school day for an entire year, giving them the energy they need to learn, grow and make the most of their education.

Parents are often forced to prioritise finding food over education, creating barriers that can affect a child's future opportunities. Mary's Meals helps break that cycle by serving a nutritious daily meal in a place of learning. The promise of food encourages school attendance, improves concentration and gives children a greater chance of completing their education. The programme is delivered by local volunteers, creating a sustainable, community-led solution that supports children year after year.
