ALIMA UK is part of the international umbrella organisation ALIMA, which was founded in 2009 to bring quality healthcare to communities impacted by health crises. With operational headquarters in Dakar, Senegal, ALIMA is an international medical organisation rethinking how healthcare is delivered in some of the world’s most challenging contexts.

Its innovative approach delivers critical treatment in crisis zones and remote, hard-to-reach areas, while also strengthening regional health systems and investing in local talent.

To date, ALIMA has provided lifesaving care to over 13 million people across 15 countries, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa. From specialised care for acute malnutrition, infectious diseases, maternal and child health to mental health, surgery, and disaster response—the organisation works to ensure that communities not only receive care today, but have access to sustained, high-quality healthcare for years to come.
