As children across the UK stepped back into classrooms this September, your donation ensured that 203 pupils at Chitakale Primary School in Malawi could do the same by funding a daily meal.
For many families here, food is never guaranteed at home. Hunger often means missing school altogether. With your support, children can now concentrate in class, stay healthy, and build a future free from poverty.
This year alone, you’re funding around 38,500 meals through our partner Mary's Meals. That’s one for every school day. That means nutritious porridge served daily, giving children like Abgail, who walks nearly ten miles to school, the energy to learn and thrive.
Throughout the year, local volunteers keep the programme running, preparing meals that give parents a powerful reason to send their children to school.

Mary’s Meals is an international movement that sets up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds over 2.4 million children every school day and it costs just £19.15 to feed a child for a school year.
