Empowering 1,000 Girls with Disabilities to Break the Period Stigma

This August, you helped us partner with Irise International to support 1,000 young people with disabilities in Uganda. Together, we’re tackling period poverty and ensuring that every student can attend school with dignity, even during their period.
Many in Uganda miss lessons because they don’t have access to period products or education. For those living with disabilities, the barriers are even greater. By providing reusable sanitary kits, building inclusive facilities, and delivering life-changing education, this project ensures periods won’t stand in the way of potential.
The impact doesn’t stop with the students. Communities are learning to embrace inclusion and break taboos, creating a ripple effect of progress for future generations.
Thanks to you, 1,000 young people can attend school with confidence and support — proving that a small change can lead to a big impact.
